12-room boutique hotel — full renovation of 3 floors, new aluminium windows, updated MEP, rooftop terrace

Operating 150-year-old Stone Town building with heritage restrictions. Needed modern amenities (AC, en-suite bathrooms, reliable power) without altering the historic coral-stone façade or carved wooden doors.

Heritage-sensitive installation: aluminium windows set behind existing wooden shutters, concealed conduit for wiring, mini-split AC units hidden in bespoke joinery, rooftop services enclosure out of sight lines.

All 12 rooms upgraded without heritage violations. Guest satisfaction scores increased from 3.8 to 4.6 stars. Occupancy up 35% post-renovation. Zanzibar Department of Antiquities approved all work.
